The Legacy Sites Museums
The Legacy Museum and The National Memorial for Peace and Justice are now open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM CST to 5:00 PM CST (the last entry time is 4:00 PM CST)
The Legacy Museum
The Legacy Museum is timed entry and has limited capacity. Please plan to arrive promptly for your museum entry time. Late arrivals may result in delayed entry. The Legacy Museum is a narrative museum that features many interactive components; we suggest planning for 3-4 hours (or more) to go through the entire museum.
The National Memorial for Peace and Justice
General admission tickets, valid for entry anytime during operating hours. For the memorial, we have estimated people might take 1-1.5 hours to go through the six-acre site. There are narrative panels and art pieces along the path into the memorial structure, the time it will take depends on whether you will read and spend time at each feature.
The Freedom Monument Sculpture Park
General admission tickets, valid for entry anytime during operating hours. The Freedom Monument Sculpture Park estimates a 2 hour experience overlooking the Alabama River. This site honors the lives and memories of the 10 million Black people who were enslaved in America.
Boat Experience to the Freedom Monument Sculpture Park
The boat ride to the Freedom Monument Sculpture Park is a 15-minute journey along the Alabama River. The last boat to the Freedom Monument Sculpture Park is 4:00 PM.
